Well-behaved innovation

What we do

Further & Further is a consultancy founded by Emma Collier, Dimitris Orfanos, Robin Russel, and Tasos Chatzisavvas that helps technology companies and maritime stakeholders find common ground by working with people’s existing frameworks, rather than forcing them to learn new ones. We believe the best technology doesn’t need to be loud and demanding, but quietly powerful in the background.

We are brand agnostic and only recommend changes where they make sense, freeing up time, energy, and resources you would rather focus elsewhere in your business.

If we don’t find anything that meets this standard, you still receive the research documenting what we explored and why, so you are prepared when sales reps come calling with a different opinion.

Our Services

Right-sized Tech

You’ll never hear us use the words revolutionary, game-changing, or disruptive. We assess which technologies actually make sense for your operation and resources—and whether they’ll pay for themselves. We’re brand agnostic and start with a focus on incremental improvements that could work with what you’ve already got.

AI Content Fixing

We improve low-quality AI-generated content—from lifeless and generic to red-flag inaccuracy—that’s costing companies credibility and wastes your marketing investment.

Make the world a better place and never say game changing again!

Communications & Media

Many maritime websites look like they’re from before the war. Presentations give you a panic attack they’re so full of odd facts, text, and quarreling fonts. Communications feel like an afterthought because they usually are.

We help maritime companies who understand the importance of bringing value to the conversation. Whether it’s improving how your story gets told, the positions you take on industry issues, website content that’s well-written, straightforward, and effective, or starting a company blog or podcast—we provide the substance, edge, and voice to grow engagement and attract new clients.

Reality-Based Sustainability Events

Partnering with Dr. Liapis from the Hellenic Institute of Marine Technology to create brand-agnostic roundtables with shipowners, technical managers, and decision makers where tech providers are naturally folded into conversations around industry friction points. We’ll use results-based examples without tech terminology to better understand where resistance lies and develop win-win solutions

AI Consulting

Using the proprietary ML model developed by Satva Trust, we partner with maritime companies on projects where AI creates real operational value, focusing on practical applications that work with your existing processes, not against them.

Real Estate & Renovations (Greece)

Through trusted commercial partners Alexandros Goros and Tasos Chatzisavvas, we offer property renovations built on long-term relationships, not one-time transactions.

Our approach: detailed cost breakdowns, fixed pricing, clear timelines. No surprise charges, no mid-project renegotiations. We show up when we say we will and finish what we start.

Working with a network of professionals who’ve collaborated for years—from childhood friends to family members—united by shared standards and the radical idea that renovation work should be transparent from start to finish.

For property owners looking for honest processes, clear communication, and work that sticks to the agreed timetable.

About the Partners

Emma Collier

After a decade building brands and partnerships, working with diverse corporations and bespoke brands, she has spent the last four years in maritime tech leading Global Partnership Management for EVIDENT (where they tokenized the first $100M LNG carrier) and now serving as Chief Relationship Officer for Satva Trust, delivering independent fuel consumption data through proprietary ML. She writes about life as it happens, connecting shipping, science, technology, language, and anything that fascinates her enough to research deeply, and is launching a podcast called Further & Further for longform conversations that dispel industry stereotypes. Her journey from San Francisco to Athens, working with diverse corporations and bespoke brands, has been about wrestling elegant solutions from clunky, unruly problems.

Robin Russel

Robin navigates the complexities of maritime evolution with three decades of leadership across shipping, real estate, finance, and technology. His leading Satva Trust to selection for the Lloyd’s insurance market’s accelerator programme, Lloyd’s Lab, from among 200+ global applicants underscores his balanced approach to industry advancement.

Currently the CEO at Satva Trust. Together at Further & Further, we apply our combined expertise beyond Satva Trust’s specific focus, helping clients navigate maritime evolution without the usual consulting theater.

Tasos Chatzisavvas

Tasos is a certified REV (Recognised European Valuer) and civil engineer with master’s degrees in Environmental Protection and Engineering Project Management. As founder of AEIFOROS, he specializes in renewable energy projects, property valuations, and technical consulting, with two decades of experience working with major Greek banks including National Bank of Greece and Eurobank.

As a Partner at Further & Further, Tasos brings deep knowledge of Greek regulatory frameworks, public procurement processes, and project implementation—essential expertise for navigating complex approvals and understanding what actually works in the Greek market. His experience spans from photovoltaic parks to real estate development, providing the local knowledge and regulatory insight that foreign investors and maritime companies need when entering Greek markets.

Dimitris Orfanos

Dimitris brings experience from the maritime industry and the day-to-day needs and struggles of the sector after two decades of experience in the Technical departments of ship managers / owners.

Currently as the COO of ORMA Shipping, he is staying up to date with the current needs and trends of the field, experience and knowledge which is passed down to further & further. Together we can provide the missing link between the maritime industry and technology sector to achieve accountable results along with feasible and meaningful solutions.

Dimitris brings two decades of experience from technical departments of ship managers and owners, understanding the day-to-day realities of maritime operations. As COO of ORMA Shipping, he knows what it costs when technology doesn’t work and what it takes to implement solutions that do, making him well-positioned to evaluate technology from an operator’s perspective for Further & Further.
