Emma Collier

Founder and Partner, Strategy & Ventures

Emma brings more than ten years of experience shaping people-centered brands, partnerships, and strategy at the intersection of technology and human decision-making. Over the past five years in maritime, she led Global Partnerships for George Economou’s EVIDENT, which tokenized the first maritime asset, a $100m LNG carrier, and served as Chief Relationship Officer at Satva Trust, supporting the development of a proprietary fuel intelligence model using machine learning.

As Founder of Further & Further, Emma works from a simple reframe: AI is a strategic hire, not a tool. When you call AI a tool, you carry assumptions about how tools behave: static, bounded, predictable, same output every time, visible failure when they break. She looks at AI as a strategic hire instead. You hire someone to get a thing done better than it’s currently being done. That’s also why we want AI. A hire has a scope of authority. Trust comes from results. Someone is accountable for performance and impact. When AI is a tool, nobody is responsible for its behavior over time, because tools don’t have behavior over time. Who owns the consequences of AI-influenced decisions should be a question for AI’s hiring manager.

Further Ventures, which Emma co-founded alongside F&F partners and George Xiradakis, is an unscripted and unfiltered maritime AI and digitalization think tank for the industry to engage, entrepreneur to entrepreneur, because that’s what we all are. The public session is closer to an intellectual cage fight than a traditional conference panel. The private version brings that fight inside a company, with the doors closed. Questions and tensions shape the room. Brand-agnostic access to experts lets the team build capability, form new mental models for long-term implementation, and manufacture their own conviction. Management watches the team respond to and challenge these concepts in real time. What surfaces becomes actionable intelligence.

Emma’s goal is to reinvent the experiences through which maritime convenes, communicates, and reckons with the digital transition. When you change the format, you change the spectrum of desired outcomes.

She also hosts the Further & Further podcast, bringing long-form, Lex Fridman-style conversation to maritime leadership.
